Klöcher Hochwarth

The ground containing volcanic rock (basalt, basaltic clinker, stratified and unstratified tuffs) produced under a subtropical climate brown and red clays which, because they originated in the Tertiary, are classified as relic soils.

Soil Type: Clay with little coarse material
Ground Type: lime-free Rigolboden, shallow to medium depth

Hochwarth, located east of Klöch ruins (formerly Hohenwarth Castle), is the best and longest known vineyard within the community of Klöch.
Oriented to the south-east and south.
Elevations: 320 to 400 m
