In this vineyard we find a sequence of silts and sand, occasionally marly, with instances of gravel in the west, on the upper slopes. The sediment is lower in mica, which could indicate tuffisite influences, meaning sediment from the Tertiary is interwoven with volcanic ash.

Soil Type: fine, silty sediment
Ground Type: loose, lime-free sediment – brown earth from sandy sediment, lime-free Kulturrohboden with fine, silty sediment

The entire vineyard comprises 6 ha, including a southern hillside and a neighbouring high plateau that is protected to the north by forest. The elevation ranges from 340 to 380 m.
